Özet

Textile-reinforced concrete (TRC) is a novel material with unique properties that can offer new structural design opportunities. Particularly use of fiber-reinforced polymer-based composite grids in concrete has great potential for interesting designs. In this work, various textile-reinforcement grid configurations were investigated for the smart material design of concrete composite systems. The focus is on improving fundamental mechanical properties i.e., flexural strength, maximum deflection, and crack resistance. Selected textile-reinforced concrete material systems were produced through developed novel approaches. A novel textile reinforcement configuration was developed with superior flexural and damage tolerance properties. The main aim was to attain smart material configurations for reduced material use and improved sustainability as well as to explore potential unique applications of TRCs for thin-section structures.
