Özet

Recycling construction and demolition waste is a widely used approach to enhance the sustainability of construction materials. Pavements, with their large scale, have a considerable impact on the environment during their construction and use phases. The potential of using recycled aggregates to reduce the environmental impact of concrete pavements has been discussed in several previous studies considering various aspects. However, the cyclic shear performance of concrete mixtures (one of the main parameters affecting pavement performance) produced with recycled aggregates has only been roughly discussed in a limited number of studies. To address this issue, concrete mixtures with varying recycled aggregate replacement ratios were designed and tested in this study for basic engineering properties and post-cracking cyclic shear performance. The impact of varying recycled aggregate amounts on performance parameters was assessed through experimental studies, and variations in the measured parameters are discussed. Recommendations are provided for practical applications and future research.
