Özet

The autothermal production of hydrogen from methane is simulated by using two different catalyst-bed configurations using oxidation and steam reforming catalysts. Consecutive placement of oxidation and reforming catalysts and their physical mixture in a single bed are the configurations of interest. Calculations show that the latter scheme is better in hydrogen production than the two-bed configuration, which is in agreement with the experimental results reported. The effect of feed composition is also investigated. © 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
